What is eduCanon you ask? Once you see how to use it--YOU will love it for sure!
When you use this Application, you can insert questions with multiple choice answers, that appear and "interrupt" the video until the learner provides their answer to each question.
1. Go to eduCanon.com and sign up with an account;
2. Next locate a YouTube, Vimeo, or TeacherTube video and copy/paste the url or video into the
program;
3. Click "Build Question" during the video at specific points you select, input your own questions.
(You will be permitted to add your own answer choices.
Save it when you are done with the set up.)
4. You can monitor your students' progress, and be sure they are actually viewing the entire video.
5. This also will give you the opportunity to reinforce key points that you want your students to
take special notice of during the video.
The students really like eduCanon which allows assessment
opportunities as well as encourages the learners to "shine" with
what they have learned from the video.
I recommend jumping right in as teachers by looking ahead at
lesson plans and determining how this might
be integrated in classes. Then, locate your videos, log into the
eduCanon account, and it will literally walk you through the
step-by-step process.
